I have been fascinated, for quite some time now, by the magic which can be created by watercolors and oils. I was amazed by the art works of Indian artists like Milind Mulick, Girish Chaudhary etc to name a few. After having a look at their paintings I thought I will take a shot at it just for the fun of it. Here is one of my first paintings - it has its limitations but it is a humble beginning - like the Chinese proverb goes, every journey starts with a single step - I am posting this here so that I can compare it with my future attempts and guage my evolution as an artist - if at all I become one! The reference photo can be found on flickr, courtesy Bahman Farzad. Your comments are welcome and have a nice day ahead!

On art and procrastination
Procrastination? I think that word was invented for people like me! I was not surprised when I learnt that I have not blogged for the past 2 years!. Well, I can probably explain it - work load, a new passion for sketching and painting, family commitments - whatever said and done, procrastination is not good for anyone, especially me...
Well, I will be posting some watercolor paintings which I think will catch your attention - not for their artistic excellence but rather for the lack of it - and definitely your comments will help me to decide whether I should stick on to this pastime or go dig up my backyard and plant a few roses....
See you soon!
